The Story:This '67 was traded for a freezer in 1997. It was covered in a fine yellow and white latex. Apparently the previous owner had some extra house paint and a wagner sitting around. The car was scuffed and shot in white urethane.

SWAPMEET

Southern Oregon is flooded with tons of old back yard shops and treasures. Our first Swapmeet may not have been very big, but hey, ya gotta start somewhere. We had a lot of people in and out through the day. Most people came to check out the new club. It was VW fun in the Southern Oregon Sun!

BBQ 2003

Our fellow VW enthusiasts from W.A.V.E. hosted a BBQ at the Touvelle Park on the Rogue river. There were quite a few water-pumpers, and a respectable ammount of air-cooled VWs. The weather was cooperative and the blend of people was great. Thanks guys, we had a great time!

On the Last Saturday of each month our troops get together and enjoy Pizza, Beer, Soda, and lots of VW talk. After the Meeting it's the Parkinglot chatroom. The parkinglot time is my Favorite by far. We had a pretty good year for variety.

Las Vegas Bug-In
2004

Well, where do you start?? Las Vegas is the city that never sleeps and Sin city, but did you know that it also hosts one of the best if not "THE" best VW event in the world??? Basically you can pretty much plan on being at a VW event from Friday at noon to Sunday late afternoon... The weekend starts at Classic VWs for "Open House", bench racing, and lunch.. Then it's off to Steve Richardsens for the best Brisket you'll ever eat.. Then over to Findlay VW for the Las Vegas Volkswagen Club cruise... Then back to Settees to finish the party.. Then Saturday around 7:00 am the troops start to gather at Freemont Street for the annual cruise.. After that it is off to the Host hotel for the BBQ, where hundred more people fill the parking garage with VWs and and lot of oil spots.. This is an event of it's own.. From there the "Unlimited Street" guys make the drive to the drags strip.. Sunday, well we all know what happens then.. Drag racing, car showing, swap meeting, vender shopping and just flat hav'n the time of your life is underway..

Medford Cruise
2004

Every Fathers day weekend Southern Oregon is the place to be. The Medford Cruise has been going on for years now. This is an all weekend event. From Friday morning until Sunday afternoon it is a nonstop Hotrod show. The real fun starts Friday night with the Grudge matches. Then Saturday morning is the super Show and Shine. Over 700 cars in the show until they have to cut off entries. That is Very impressive. Saturday night they shut down the streets of Medford for the Cruise. If you missed it you realy need to try next year..

Puyallup Spring Meet
2004

Winter Bug Show at the Puyallup fairgrounds is just one more great show in the Northwest. This show has been around for quite a few years. I remember, before it was closed down, Cruising in Puyallup before the shows and staying up all night hav'n a party with VW folks from all over. This show always brings back GREAT memories. The Swapmeet is the place to find parts that our Canadan buddys decide they don't want anymore. The Indoor show and Vender area is always packet to the hilt with cars and parts. MEDFORD CRUISE -
June 2003

For Many years Medford has been the place to be on Fathers day. The Medford Cruise, Staring Friday night at the Dragstip is more that just a ton of fun. You will see cruisers drive thier cars hard in a huge grudge race between HotRodders. Saturday and Sunday are filled with cruises and shows from one end of town to the other. If you are from out of town this would be the time to take a Vacation to Southern Oregon. If you are from here you are blessed to have this Event in your back yard. From 6 second full track burnouts, 100 MPH end over rollovers, 1/4 mile long Swap meets, to one huge huge over night campout (PARTY), Sacramento Bug-o-ramma May 2003 was, so far the the best yet. Here is just a glimpse of what you may have missed.

What can I say about Renn Kafer Racing.... There are some incredible cars that click off some incredible E.T.s.... Lots of respect in this class of racing.... They don't just have to race, they have to show.... The show points/race #s combined place you..... Also, all of the safety equipment has to be intact and working properly (horn, turn signals, jack, licenced and insurance)...
